ENVIRONMENT WEEK From 21-July to 25-July-2008
SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON ENVIRONEMNT WEEK on 25-July-2008
D.P.S. Aligarh observed an environment week from 21-July to 25 July-2008. During this week various competition and activities were planned for the children to make them aware of the changes coming in our weather cycle due to pollution. On July 25th, the celebration ended with the valedictory programme. After the warm welcome of the Chief Guest, Mr. Atul Agrawal D.F.O. Aligarh, children presented the assembly which was full of inspiring thoughts. The ceremony included a poem presented by Ashish Maheshwari of class IX-F, speech on CHIPKO MOVEMENT presented by Ashish Anand of class VII A and a song “BANJAR DHARTI KARE PUKAR …” presented by the Choir group of our school with the message we should plant trees if we want to save our earth. The winners were felicitated with the certificates by the chief guest. After that Mr. Atul Agrawal blessed the children and suggested that each of us should plant a tree and take care of our environment. He appreciated the work and the efforts of the children during the week. On behalf of the school the principal Ms. Nazish Naqvi ensure the chief guest that school will keep up the efforts to build a good and healthy environment around us. The programme ended with a Vote of thanks by the Vice-Principal Mr. Chandra Shekhar.
