HINDI WEEK – (8th September to 12th September-2008)
D.P.S Aligarh observed Hindi week from 8th to 12th Sept. Different competitions and activities were conducted during the week. In “Hasya Kavya Path” Competition of class VI , Prajjawal Rana of Class VI-B stood First, Anushka Saxena of Class VI-D stood Second and Third position was bagged by Priyanshu Bhatia of Class VI-C
Student of Class VII participated in the “Veer Ras Kavya Path” and the I, II, III Prizes were bagged by Somya Agrawal of VII-C, Palak Bansal of ClassVII-A and Deeksha Agrawal of ClassVII-E respectively.
Class-VIII had Nibandh Writing Competition on the topic “Hindi Bhasha Ka Mahatva” in which Anjali Sharma of Class VIII-C stood First, Abhishek Bhardwaj of Class VIII-E stood Second and Ankur Singhal VIII-G stood Third.
While in class IX the topic was “Mera Bachpan”. Judge found Sampriti Agrawal of Class IX-D, essay the best while Aiman Ibraham IX-G stood Second and Third position went to Somesh Joshi of Class IX-A.
Closing ceremony of the was held on 12 September. Our Principal Ms. N. Naqvi welcomed the Chief Guest Mr. Sudhir Sisodia- a famous poet. Kunal Pachauri of VIII-C along with his classmates conducted the assembly. Ananya Mishra (Poem) and Nikita Mohan (speech) were praised for their performance. The Chief Guist Mr. Sudhir Sisodia informed about the importance of our mother tongue – Hindi and recited a poem for the children “Bare Dino ke bad mila man chaha itwar………… .” The Head of the Hindi department- Mr. G.C. Joshi gave the Vote of Thanks.
