PRE INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION on 14-August-2008
DPS Azad Nagar Kanpur organized an Inter DPS Nukkad Natak Competition on 8 August-2008. 13 schools participated in the competition. Different themes were given to choose from, like “Drug Adiction”, “Violence” etc. DPS Aligarh came forward with a play on “Drug Adiction “. 10 participantsfrom the DPS, Aligarh gave their best, which was appreciated by everyone. Mrs. Deepa Khare (Dance Teacher) accompanied the participants.
Two students of class Vlll D were felicitated for their achievements at international and national level Shobhik Bhadrarey received the III prize in Tata Young Expression Children’s collage making competition topic “Original Mascot -2008 Olympics”. Vaibhav Gupta got 43rd rank in National Science Talent Search Examination. Both the young laureate were felicitated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Rakesh Mittal.
The Head Boy Syed Yawar Masud and Head Girl Karishama Rajani of DPS, Aligarh presented the English speech. The Hindi speech was presented by Anjali of class Vl- A.
Asad-Ul-Haque of class lX F recited a beautiful Nazm “Yeh Mera Vatan …………….” After that a Dance performance “Think India” was presented by the students which made the whole environment patriotic. Chief Guest Mr. R.K.Mittal, released the Brochure on the occasion of 10th Anniversary of the DPS, Aligarh and addressed the students. The guest of Houour, Sh. Brij Bhushan, DIG, Aligarh Mandal, blessed the children and the programme was presided by Prof. Bhumitra Dev- Vice Chancellor Manglayatan University. The most important message of Prof. Bhumitra Dev was Swami Vivekanand’s message “Do not Mess with your Age “. Mr. Dinesh Saxena CDO, Azamgarh also joined the function.
Vote of thanks was given by the President of Students Council Radhika Maheshwari of class Xll.
