SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON SANSKRIT DIWAS on 12-August-2008
DPS,  Aligarh, observed  Sanskrit Diwas on 12-August, 2008. Assembly began with the welcome Song Presented by Chaitanya and Abhishek of class IX followed by a song ‘Vandemataram’ by Sampriti and Somya of class IX and a skit presented by class VIII student – Gargi , Mehul and Suhani .
The Chief Guest  Mr. Mahendra Kumar Mishra, blessed the student in the assembly and told the importance and utility of reading, Sanskrit. At the end  Mr. Mishra sang a melodious song in Sanskrit for the students. He quoted the name Mr. Bill Gates, as he said that Sanskrit is the most perfect language for Computer. The Principal, Mrs. Nazish Naqvi, encouraged the students to read and comprehend this ancient language to its core. She said that Sanskrit should be made easier and interesting for the students. The Comparers were the class X Students Aditi and Hussain Ali.
