Education and academic competitions are two most important ingredients of human life and these two have always been considered as important issues. There is no doubt education is secret key of human success and the roots of education lie on competition. A child is born without knowledge and skills, and they continuously participate in competitions every part of the life, developing skills and knowledge through a learning process. Indeed, without competitions, we cannot imagine education.

Competitions provide a stimulus to begin a career, to undertake a lifelong journey into the realms of exciting intellectual challenges.
Competition urges children to challenges which improves their creativity and problem solving skills. A competitive environment is perfect for developing skills in students because it pushes them to always give their best.
To make learning more interesting for the students and also prepare them for current competitive environment, the AISSTA (All India School Science Teachers Association) organized 21st National Science Olympiad Contest.
The contest was conducted successfully at Delhi Public School Aligarh, Junior Wing on 31 January,2018. Total 67 students (from classes I to VI) participated in the contest. There were questions covering various concepts of science related to science, environment, technology and global issues.
All the successful students were awarded certificates. The criteria to get a Gold Medal is to obtain 90% to 99% marks. Three students from class two Nirvaan Gupta, Aarjav Jain and Sanskar Jain secured 90% and above marks in the contest. They were awarded Gold Medal and the certificate for their meritorious performance.
